DAY 1: Arrival, Trail System & Twilight River
Navigating to the Ecological Reserve
Arrive in Puerto Maldonado, coined Peru's Capital of Biodiversity. After a welcome at the Inkaterra Butterfly House lounge and a short transfer to the river port, begin your Amazon adventure with a 45-minute motorized boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica.
The Trail System & Cabaña Retreat
After a freshly prepared lunch, settle into your private thatched-roof cabaña for a siesta in your hammock. In the afternoon, join your Inkaterra Explorer Guide along the reserve's Trail System, walking beneath centuries-old Shihuahuaco and strangler fig trees while spotting monkeys, trogons, and sloths in the canopy.
Twilight River & Amazonian Dining
At dusk, embark on the Twilight River boat excursion to witness the rainforest transition from day to night—spotting nightjars, owls, capybaras, and white caimans along the riverbanks. Return to the grand wooden pavilion for an Amazonian-inspired à-la-carte dinner accompanied by a complimentary welcome Pisco Sour.

DAY 2: Lake Sandoval, Canopy Walkway & Anaconda Walk
The Glassy Waters of Lake Sandoval
After an early buffet breakfast, hike a sun-dappled rainforest trail into the protected Tambopata National Reserve. Board a wooden dugout canoe to glide silently onto Lake Sandoval—a mirror-like oxbow lake inhabited by endangered giant river otters, red howler monkeys, red-bellied macaws, hoatzins, and black caimans.
Canopy Walkway & The Anaconda Walk
In the afternoon, ascend a 38-meter (124 ft) tower to traverse the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway—a 344-meter network of seven hanging suspension bridges offering bird's-eye views of the rainforest rooftop. Upon descending, follow the 200-meter raised wooden boardwalk of the Anaconda Walk across flooded aguajales Mauritia palm swamps.
Eco Centre & À-la-carte Dinner
Back at the lodge, attend a nature presentation in the Eco Centre or book an optional botanical treatment at the riverfront ENA Spa before savoring an à-la-carte dinner in the main dining room.

DAY 3: Departure from Reserva Amazónica
Farewell to the Wonderland
Enjoy your final morning waking to the calls of parakeets and howler monkeys while agoutis scurry between the cabañas. After a full breakfast and check-out, board your motorized boat for the 45-minute return navigation up the Madre de Dios River to Puerto Maldonado Airport.

- Riverboat Luggage Allowance: For safety on the motorized canoes, please pack only necessary items in a small duffel bag or carry-on backpack (max 10kg). Large suitcases will be safely stored at the Inkaterra Butterfly House lounge in Puerto Maldonado.
- Packing Essentials: Bring lightweight, breathable, long-sleeved clothing, insect repellent, high-SPF sunscreen, a rain poncho, and a flashlight/headlamp for nocturnal walks.
