1. Morning Private Departure
Your day begins seamlessly. Your private driver and expert tour guide will pick you up directly from your hotel in Puno. Settle into your comfortable vehicle as we drive into the vast, beautiful expanse of the Andean Altiplano toward our first archaeological destination.
2. Sillustani & The Monumental Chullpas
Arriving at Sillustani, you will explore this sacred pre-Incan burial ground. The site is famous for its Chullpas—tall, cylindrical towers constructed from perfectly fitted giant stones. Designed by the Kolla culture to entomb their elite, these impressive structures overlook the serene waters of Lake Umayo, creating an atmosphere of profound tranquility and mystery.
3. Andean Cultural Immersion & Lunch
Before leaving the Sillustani area, we will have the unique opportunity to visit local indigenous homes. In the afternoon, we drive 18 kilometers south of Puno to Chucuito, one of the oldest and most charming towns in the region. Here, you will visit the ancient Temple of Fertility (Inca Uyo). Abandoned and buried for years, the temple has been restored to its former glory, featuring dozens of meter-high stone phalluses planted firmly in the earth. You will learn how the temple continues to work its magic today, as local women still sneak in at night with offerings of coca leaves and chicha to perform pregnancy ceremonies.
5. Return to Puno
After a full day of uncovering the mysteries of life and death in ancient Peru, we will take a relaxing drive back up the shores of Lake Titicaca, dropping you off safely and comfortably at your hotel in Puno.

- High Altitude: Puno sits at a very high altitude (3,800m+). We recommend drinking plenty of coca tea, staying hydrated, and walking slowly, especially during the Sillustani tour.
- Sun Protection: The UV rays at this altitude are incredibly intense, even on cloudy days. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat are mandatory.
