To start your private tour of Lima, at 09:00 a.m. we will pick you up at your hotel and we will take you to the Pueblo Libre neighborhood, where the Larco Herrera Museum is located. This museum, founded in 1926, houses the largest collection of pre-Columbian artifacts in the country, an impressive archaeological collection in different rooms that allows us to see the development of Peruvian pre-Columbian cultures over 3,000 years old. Also home to one of the best gold and silver collections and 45,000 classified masterpieces, this is the perfect introduction to Peru's multifaceted history and culture. Located in an 18th century viceregal mansion built on top of a 7th century pre-Columbian pyramid, it is surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Next, we will enter the heart of the "City of Kings" of Peru, where you will visit the Plaza Mayor, the Historic Center and its impressive monuments, you will be able to appreciate the Basilica, the Cathedral of Lima, the Government Palace, the Palace Archiepiscopal and the municipality, to then continue with the visit to the Convent of San Francisco considered the most important architectural work in Latin America and its interior, including the underground catacombs.
On our tour we will see Plaza San Martín, the tour continues to the south of the city to visit the residential neighborhoods of San Isidro and Miraflores or Barranco with a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean and its beaches of the Costa Verde circuit.
After your cultural tour, we will take you to lunch at La Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, where you will be able to enjoy exquisite Peruvian cuisine, but first, a short walk to see the beautiful Huaca Pucllana. After lunch, we'll take you back to your hotel, where your guide will be happy to suggest some great places to see.
